AND SOTHERN ELECTRICAL COMPANY ( SELCO )
The Power Electronics and Signal Processing Research Unit ( PESPRU) at Palestine Polytechnic University and the Southern Electrical Company (SELCO) will conduct a one-day workshop to assess the status of power electronics in various industrial fields and distributed energy applications. The workshop will include an overview of research and applications of power electronics systems and devices in Palestine prospective and challenges that faced developments of this important sector.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this work is ;
1- Providing the industry with new technologies in the field of industrial electronics and signal processing.
2- Strengthening the relationship between the unit and local and global industries as well as similar institution.
3- Conducting advanced research projects in cooperation with external partners (industrial sector, universities, and similar research centers).
4- Offering appropriate solutions to the industrial problems in the field of power electronics.
5- Organizing meetings and public forums to exchange experiences and discuss the developments in this important field.
6- Improving the educational environment of university students who are involved in this field either directly or indirectly.
7- Hosting national and international experts in this field to give lectures, seminars, and consultations.
SPEAKERS:
During the workshop sessions, selected speakers will give updates on current status of power electronics applications in electrical power distributions, renewable energy applications, dynamics of power electrics systems, advanced control of Soft Starters for Industrial Drives , and advanced educational methods and tools for power electronics courses.
